About the South Coast

South Coast, Kwazulu Natal

The KwaZulu-Natal South Coast is the number one year round holiday destination in South Africa. The South Coast runs from the border of the Eastern Cape up to Amanzimtoti. Along this coastline you will find a string of small villages nestled among sub-tropical forests, sugar cane fields, banana plantations, nut orchards, blue lagoons and sunny beaches.

The South Coast offers plenty of seaside activities such as whale and dolphin watching, snorkelling, scuba diving, surfing, swimming, fishing and beach activities. For the more adventurous you can also go cage diving with sharks.

If you are not a beach lover, the Oribi Gorge offers hiking trails to some spectacular views and waterfalls. In this area you will also find the world's highest natural commercial abseil and bungee swing. There are plenty of white water rafting and mountain biking opportunities too.

The South Coast is jam packed with outdoor activities for the whole family.
